Additional Services

Hospice care extends beyond direct medical support to help patients and families manage everyday needs with greater confidence and comfort. At Lumiere Crest Hospice, we offer a range of supportive services designed to complement each patient’s individualized care plan while helping caregivers feel informed and supported throughout the hospice journey.

Family Support

Family members play an important role in hospice care, and we are committed to supporting them every step of the way. Our team provides guidance, education, and practical assistance to help loved ones continue caring for the patient in a familiar and comfortable environment.

Certified Hospice Aides may assist with daily activities, including:

  • Bathing
  • Light household chores
  • Meal preparation

Additional Supportive Services

Depending on the patient’s individual needs and plan of care, additional hospice services may include:

  • Hospice-Related Medication Delivery: Medications related to the hospice diagnosis are coordinated and delivered to the patient’s place of care when appropriate.
  • Medical Equipment & Supply Delivery: Hospice-related medical equipment and supplies are arranged to support the patient’s comfort and daily care needs.
  • Caregiver Education & Training: Families and caregivers receive practical instruction and ongoing guidance to help them confidently provide day-to-day care.
  • Nursing Home & Assisted Living Support: Hospice services are available for eligible patients residing in nursing homes and assisted living communities.
  • Bereavement Support: Compassionate grief support and resources are available for families and loved ones before and after a loss.
  • Volunteer Companionship: Trained volunteers provide friendly visits and companionship that complement the hospice care team’s services.
  • Family Respite Care: Temporary relief services help family caregivers take needed breaks while ensuring continued patient care.
  • Short-Term Inpatient Crisis Care: Temporary inpatient care may be arranged when symptoms require intensive management beyond what can safely be provided in the current care setting.

Our interdisciplinary team works closely with patients, families, and healthcare providers to determine which supportive services are appropriate based on each individual’s needs and hospice plan of care.
